Praying for Purity in the Church
September 14
Praying for Purity in the Church –
Praying for Purity in the Church – Christians purely loving one another, living their life like Jesus; repenting of sin; not participating in deception; guarding their eyes so as to not look with lust; faithful; refusing to gossip, purifying their tongue; thinking thoughts that are in obedience to Christ – 2 Corinthians 10:5.
“Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away.” Acts 3:19 NLT * “And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.” 2 Peter 3:14 NLT * “Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.” 1 John 3:2-3 NLT
Prayer: Abba, please protect the purity in the church, by removing those who refuse to obey You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Undoubtedly, for many, the cross has personal meaning. They are reminded of all that God has done for them in their life here on earth; and they are encouraged in hope for their future in heaven, where they will see Jesus Christ face to face. As a result, when people see others wearing t-shirts with a cross on them, they are encouraged in their faith and sense the solidarity amongst their fellow Christians.
The cross shares the truth – God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, He sent His Son to save the world through His death on the cross and His resurrection – John 3:17. In truth, the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus Christ came to bring life and that abundantly – here on earth, as well as in heaven – John 10:10. He is love, and love saves.
