Relentless prayer is a relentless pursuit in seeing God’s will done on earth.

“We can talk to God about anything; and as we read His word, learning more of Him, we realize specific details He call us to pray for.

For instance, in Psalm 122:6-9 NKJV God says, ‘Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces.’ For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, ‘Peace be within you.’ Because of the house of the LORD our God I will seek your good.’

God calls us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and pray for the prosperity of all those who love this city. Why? We pray for the peace of Jerusalem because the Jews are God’s chosen people – Amos 3:2. God set Israel apart as holy unto Himself, choosing them over all of the nations of the earth to be His special treasure – Deuteronomy 14:2; with them He has displayed His miracles, and wonders showcasing to the world His mighty power that is unmatched – Yahweh is the One true God – Psalm 78:4.” – excerpt taken from Revival of the Hearts by Alysa VanderWeerd
