Relentless prayer is a relentless pursuit in seeing God’s will done on earth.

“So too, with Jesus. He is our brother – Hebrews 2:11, and our husband – 2 Corinthians 11:2; but remember He is also our Savior – Matthew 1:21, our Lord – 2 Thessalonians 1:1, Redeemer – Isaiah 44:6, and our Friend – John 15:15. We can talk to Jesus about anything in intimate familiarity; but our attitude, tone, and words need to be honoring to His name – Matthew 6:9. We need to realize there is power in Jesus’ name; His name is the name above all names, and there will be a day when every knee will bow at the mention of His name – Philippians 2:8-9. The enemy crumbles, with no will-power at the name of Jesus. When we realize that and truly take it to heart, we understand why Jesus said to pray in His name. There is a spiritual battle taking place in the unseen realm; Satan does not want us to know God, nor does he want God honored, or Christians experiencing the abundant life in Christ with the assurance of heaven. Therefore, Jesus’ name brings power to our prayer, annihilating Satan’s attempts to stop the work of God in our life. The spiritual battle can become heavy at times, but Jesus said we can ask for anything in His name and He will answer; bringing glory to God the Father. Jesus truly is the answer to our problems in more ways than one.” – excerpt taken from Revival of the Hearts by Alysa VanderWeerd

CURRENT EVENTS

China’s nuclear and military build up – A Pentagon report indicates China may have 700 nuclear warheads by 2027 and 1000 by 2030. This is a huge increase from last year’s report that stated there were 200. Their sudden build up indicates a different strategy than what they had before, as this one reveals they are tactically prepared for war. Praying for a removal of a nuclear triad that allows the capability of launching missiles from the ground, air, and sea; and praying for the Communist party to be impacted by the gospel and for the removal of the oppression of the church.

“Don’t count on your warhorse to give you victory – for all its strength it cannot save you. But the LORD watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his unfailing love. He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine. We put our hope in the LORD. He is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. Let your unfailing love surround us, LORD, for our hope is in you alone.” Psalm 33:17-22 NLT

Drug Overdoses – The Center for Disease and Control Prevention has estimated that 100,300 Americans died of drug overdose from May 2020 to April 2021. The new data reveals a 30% increase in drug overdoses and attributes it to COVID-19 and the prevalence of fentanyl in the illicit drug supply. Praying for healing for all of the families who have lost loved ones to drug overdoses, for drug dealers to be caught, for the supply and demand of drugs to decrease, and for those addicted to drugs to get the help that they need.

“Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help. But the LORD turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth. The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.” Psalm 34:14-17 NLT

PRAYER

Abba! We praise You for Your perfect knowledge of everything that is going on here on earth. You know and thus You place Your people where they will be most effective for You and Your Kingdom. Praying Lord for Christians to rise up, living out their faith; stepping into lives with the love of Jesus Christ. We ask Lord for You to move powerfully in eliminating the illicit drug supply, saving people’s lives. We also ask for You to move in China, drawing people to Yourself; stirring hearts to want to know more about Jesus Christ. And we lift up all of these who have cancer and are going through treatment and their family members. Lord it is a weary battle with different phases and so we ask for complete healing here on earth, wisdom for the doctors, for strength for the sick and for the family members and for Christians to enter their lives with the love of Christ. Ultimately, we pray for Your will to be done. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
