Relentless prayer is a relentless pursuit in seeing God’s will done on earth.

“We need to remember that Jesus Christ lives to intercede for us – Hebrews 7:25, and the Holy Spirit prays for us when we have no words to express – Romans 8:26; and they always pray in line with God the Father, seeking to do His will – John 12:49-50, 16:13. The Trinity, therefore, is our perfect provision. We are weak and fallible – God is not. He is perfect in strength. “The Lord is the strength of my life” – Psalm 27:1. The beauty in this life is we do not have to be perfect in prayer. God knows our heart.” – excerpt taken from Revival of the Hearts by Alysa VanderWeerd

CURRENT EVENTS

Thanksgiving and Covid-19 – Praying for everyone this Thanksgiving, for protection against COVID-19. Praying it doesn’t spread, and for those who are feeling sick to not attend any family or friend gatherings.

“You can make many plans but the LORD’s purpose will prevail. Loyalty makes a person attractive. It is better to be poor than dishonest. Fear of the LORD leads to life; bringing security and protection from harm.” Proverbs 19:21-23 NLT

The New York State Assembly Judiciary Committee found overwhelming evidence that Governor Andrew Cuomo engaged in sexual harassment – Praying for healing for all of the people who were sexually harassed and for justice to be served; extending that to others who are sexually harassed in the workplace or who have been, who are pervasively verbally harassed or who are harassed in the way of people doing things to them that they are not ok with, praying for those who have experienced any type of abuse at work or at the church or in their families – for justice to be served, and for people to be safe and free from that abuse. For the truth to win out, not lies. Praying for authority figures to realize what creates an unhealthy environment for people and for righteous ways to take over; and for corrupt authority figures to be removed from positions so that the people are safe and able to grow in their work.

“The Righteous One knows what is going on in the homes of the wicked; he will bring disaster on them.” Proverbs 21:12 NLT

PRAYER

Abba! You see every need, You see everyone who is sick with COVID-19, You see all those who want to be with their family this Thanksgiving – we pray for safety and ultimately for Your will to be done. Many long for the resuming of normalcy, and not being separated from their friends and family. And Lord, thank You for exposing all of the unjust actions that Gov. Cuomo committed. That gives hope to those who have suffered, and it seemingly got glossed over as if it didn’t matter. You see everyone who has suffered in silence, and You do care. Praying those who have been hurt realize You are their witness – the perfect witness, and You have declared that sins will be exposed. Many seek to judge people, as if they have accurate information and a heart right before You; but oftentimes they fail to understand the depth of damage that was committed against the one who was sinned against and hurt. We ask for healing for all who have experienced abuse, and we ask Lord, as You are witness to all of the evil in this world and in Malachi 3:5, You say that You are an eager witness against all sorcerers and adulterers and liars. You will speak against those who cheat their employees of pay, who oppress widows and orphans and who deprive foreigners who live in the land of justice – You rightly identify the abuse of power, and You are an eager witness against it. You are the One who holds power, and You tell us how to use it. We praise You for that and we ask for the truth to be made known and for people to be free from all of this injustice. And we pray it all in Jesus’ name, Amen.
