When we trust in the Lord, we trust in His Word – the Bible. We believe what He has told us.
In the world today, there are many books, but no book will ever take the place of the Bible. The many devotionals or books, explaining Scripture, are simply tools that help us grow in our faith. They are tools that point us back to the Word of God. There are many different tools, as is needed, as we all are in different places in our spiritual walk with God. My prayer is that God’s people will come across the right tools, the right books and resources for their personal spiritual needs; as they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – 2 Peter 3:18.
My devotional, Mountaintop Mornings is a 365-day devotional that is pure Scripture pieced together, with every devotion ending in an Amen; and included within the pages of the devotional is a 3-year journal.
There are many different ways to utilize this devotional – study the verses individually or analyze how they provide greater meaning to the other verses provided for that day; or pray the verses for your family, friends, yourself, church, co-workers, or nation. The 3-year prayer journal provided is a place to write your prayers or insights. So, at a glance you will be able to see what God has spoken to your heart over the years. It is healthy to look back at your steps in history to see what choices brought you to today. Remembering those moments God called you to obey, ignites your heart with passion; while, recalling His deliverances affirms your faith.

Trust in the Lord forever, may He guide your every endeavor.
Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. * Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. * Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock. * Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. * Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. * But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. * Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. * Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. * Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established. * My love be with you all in Christ Jesus, Amen.

A heart of prayer seeks God’s will to pray His heart.
When we pray Scripture, we align our heart with God’s heart. We submit to His Sovereign plan. We essentially pray, “Not my will Lord, but Yours be done.”
When you pray God’s word, mountains move effortlessly. Your heart is aligning with God’s heart in a perfect position to battle. This prayer devotional that is pure Scripture pieced together, is described by one reader as “a powerful spiritual tool designed to help us connect with God over a period of a year…The prayers are thematically arranged, each infused with a powerful message, a revelation about God’s love, nature, and endearing solicitude, His plan for our lives, and His abiding grace.”
As we enter into the New Year, many people have different goals and plans that all fit into God’s big picture and are according to His will.
