Peacemakers are Joyous

You are needed. God has placed you right where you are for such a time as this. You are a peacemaker in a world needing guidance and encouragement in the Lord.

Peacemakers are Joyous

Proverbs 12:20 NLT says, “Deceit fills the hearts of those who are plotting evil; joy fills the hearts of those who are planning peace.”

In this dark world, we, Christians, are the difference.

No one should ever associate Christians with deceit. For that is the method of Satan, the Father of lies – John 8:44; and we are children of God, who are becoming more and more like Christ while here in this evil world. Our steps should always be in the direction of peace, not deceit – Matthew 5:9 – desiring people to be, first and foremost, at peace with God, for Christ is returning, and desiring people to be at peace with others – 2 Peter 3:14.

Peacemakers are Joyous

Joy is complete satisfaction in God’s presence, it’s a delighted heart and mind. It’s the overflow in a life seeking God in His word, while desiring to obey Him.

Peacemakers are joyous people, and they are amazing to be around. People naturally gravitate to them, while they naturally seek to be far from negative people who deceive others.

Peacemakers are Joyous

The joy of the Lord is the strength for peacemakers in this evil world – Nehemiah 8:10. Their settled heart at peace with God, their contentment, their confidence in God – is so unlike the world and inner turmoil.

Truly, God has called us out of the world, not to be like the world, but the game changer while in the world – John 15:19. We are His masterpiece, created to do the good works He has planned long ago – Ephesians 2:10. He has given us a voice to stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves, and He has given us opportunity to ensure justice for those who are being oppressed – Proverbs 31:8. He has given us the filling of His Spirit to be peacemakers, to seek reconciliation between parties at enmity with God and between those who are hostile with one another – Matthew 5:9. We are here on earth right now to proclaim His word so that harmony fills the church; ensuring we, Christians, are united in Jesus Christ – Ephesians 4:12- 13.
