Relentless Prayer – Prayer List 10/28/21

Relentless prayer is a relentless pursuit in seeing God’s will done on earth.

“God already knows us perfectly. He knows our works and why we do things, for He created our heart – Psalm 22:15. But He longs for us to know Him in a pure intimate relationship that we are able to have because of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life; no one can access God the Father, except through Him – John 14:6. The sin in the Garden of Eden removed our ability to ever approach God without Him first initiating. Thus, under the Old Covenant, there were regulations for worship and God chose those who could address Him; the Most Holy Place, under the system of the first Tabernacle, was not freely open to the people – Hebrews 9:8. But under the New Covenant, we all have access to God the Father through Jesus Christ, the perfect Lamb sacrifice, whenever we want – Hebrews 10:19-20.

Perfect holiness was needed; with Jesus, we have the perfect covering. His love is truly shown in His one offering that forever made us perfect, while He is making us holy – Hebrews 10:14. This action displays His covenant love – He covers us, so when God looks at us, He sees righteousness; and yet, Jesus continues to sanctify us so that we become more like Him. This is the sweetest process on earth because it involves freewill. Our sanctification completes the will of God and only takes place here on earth at the direction of Jesus Christ; and is always in line with the word of God, so that there is no confusion – Hebrews 10:10. Jesus, truly laid down His life for His bride, the church. He laid down His life for us, with His perfect pure blood that atones our sin once for all time – Leviticus 17:11.” – excerpt taken from Revival of the Hearts, by Alysa VanderWeerd

CURRENT EVENTS

US Economic Recovery – The US economic recovery slowed in the third quarter, with growth in consumer spending (that was aiding the recovery) down to 0.4 percent from the second quarter which saw 2.9 percent; and car buying fell 17.6 percent in the third quarter, not for lack of consumer want but for lack of cars available at dealerships (a global shortage in computer chips led to a shortage in auto production, contributing to the low sales). Praying for the US economy and for people to buy and sell; and for the shortages that have a negative domino effect on the economy to be alleviated.

“Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.” Proverbs 4:7 NLT

Billionaires – Praying for the billionaires, whom the Democrats want to tax so that they can pay for their agenda. Many opinions abound, but success should never be shortchanged by those who are unsuccessful. Praying for wisdom, the right thing done, God honored and glorified, and for the salvation of those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

“Covetousness is idolatry.” Colossians 3:5

CHURCHES

Pastors – Praying for pastors at the close of pastor appreciation month, for them to hear God in regards to their church and the bride of Christ at large; for them to walk by faith and not by sight – 2 Cor. 5:7; to have a vision for their church that the people can readily follow – Prov 29:18; to lead with wisdom, knowledge, understanding, integrity and insight as that brings stability to the people – Prov 28:2b; to do the right thing; to remove “moral rot” as that topples a nation quite easily – Prov 28:2a; to not be greedy or covetous as that reveals idolatry, but to be lovers of God and to love the people purely – Colossians 3:5, Ephesians 5:5, Matthew 22:37-39; to walk worthy of the calling for they have been called by Christ – Ephesians 4:1; to be humble and gentle, patient with the people making allowance for people’s faults because of their love – Ephesians 4:2; to make every effort to keep themselves united in the Spirit, binding themselves together with peace – Ephesians 4:3; to stir up the spiritual gifts God has given them – 2 Timothy 1:6; to be at peace with God – 2 Peter 3:14; to trust God – Isaiah 26:4; to live the spiritual blessings – Ephesians 1:3; to learn to be content – Phil 4:11; to be filled with the Holy Spirit bearing the fruit of the Spirit – Ephesians 5:18, Galatians 5:22-23; to walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh – Galatians 5:16; to have the mind of Christ, for in that is strength – Phil 2:5; to truly understand that the freedom God gives them in free-will is not to satisfy their sinful desires but to love the people – Galatians 5:13; and that they would preach about Christ with pure motives, not jealousy or rivalry – Phil 1:15. And praying for the people to realize that the pastors are human, and fallible, not God; they are stewards, caring for the flock God entrusted to them, sharing the gospel with the lost – 1 Peter 5:2.

PRODIGALS/ NON-BELIEVERS

Prodigals – Praying for prodigals to either have verses brought back to their remembrance or someone placed in their path to remind them of the love of God. Praying for repentance.

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all that he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice – the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2 NLT

Spiritualism – those who seek to contact the souls of those who have died, through a medium. Praying for their salvation; for them to hear the Good News about Jesus Christ, the one true God whom they can talk to freely, and that they accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

“You must not have any other god but me.” Exodus 20:3 NLT

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV
