Relentless Prayer – Prayer List 10/25/21

Relentless prayer is a relentless pursuit in seeing God’s will done on earth.

“Prayers forever prayed,

When answered are miracles displayed,

Testimonies of the tried and true,

Faith strengthened when one prays,

Seeking only God’s eternal view.”

Life. by Alysa VanderWeerd

“God knows His people perfectly, for He created us. Therefore, the way He laid out His Word, a child can grasp the truths and an adult can be challenged by them; a new believer can gain understanding, while a mature believer continues to grow as the Holy Spirit consistently illuminates truths once a mystery.

God’s ability to meet people right where they are is unmatched.

Therefore, when God calls us to pray, He is calling us to read the Bible. he is calling us to listen to Him. He is calling us to be receptive to His Word. He desires a dialogue, not a monologue; as dialogue builds relationship. God is not just our Creator, He is Yahweh – our personal LORD. He is always speaking to us; witnessed in His provision of the written Word.” – excerpt taken from Revival of the Hearts, by Alysa VanderWeerd.

CURRENT EVENTS

President Biden and Democratic Congressional Leaders are working on a compromise for the domestic policy plan that encompasses health care benefits, paid leave, and how to pay for the plan. Praying for wisdom and for God’s will to be done.

“…I want your will to be done, not mine.” Matthew 26:39b NLT

Sudan’s military seized power today, detaining Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok and his wife. They wanted the prime minister to endorse their coup, and when he refused he was moved to an undisclosed location. There were hopes of a democratic transition in Sudan; however, the troops opened fire on pro-democracy protesters, killing two people. In the past, Sudan has cut internet access to silence anyone who opposed them. Praying for the rescue or release of Prime Minister Hamdok and his wife, and for Sudan to experience a successful transition to democracy and for the people in Sudan to come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV

Cyber attacks. Microsoft warned that the Russian group behind the SolarWinds cyber attack in 2020 is trying to replicate it, targeting organizations that are important to the IT supply chain. Praying for wisdom, knowledge and time sensitivity for all who are involved in cyber counterintelligence and for the cyber attacks to be stopped before any damage takes place.

“God opposes the proud but favors the humble. So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your Christian brothers and sisters all over the world are going through the same kind of suffering you are.” 1 Peter 5:5b-9 NLT

GOSPEL

Missionaries – Praying for protection for all missionaries and that God would open doors for them to share the love of Jesus Christ with the lost, and to uplift the weary Christian.

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, I will guide you with My eye.” Psalm 32:8 NKJV

“God opens doors no man can shut and shuts doors no man can open.” Revelation 3:7

PRAYER

Abba, You see all those who do not know You, who are wanting to make decisions that impact the people at large. We ask, Lord, for You to move so powerfully. You are the One who moves kings hearts, guiding people wherever You want them – Proverbs 21:1. We know Your will is for people to know You through Jesus Christ, to have the assurance of heaven and to live out their faith here on earth. We ask Lord for Your protection, for all those committing evil acts to be subdued and stopped, for the right laws to be made that benefit the people and nations, and for people to encounter Jesus Christ, coming to know Him as their Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
